Our Story

Pennsylvania, the state whose name means “Penn’s woods,” was founded by Quaker, William Penn. It was established on the fundamental beliefs of freedom and fairness. The symbols on the state’s seal represent the importance of commerce, labor, perseverance, and agriculture to the state’s economy, as well as symbolizing the state’s recognition of its past and hopes for its future.

Immigrating to America to educate their young family, the founders of Pennsylvania Hill recognized western Pennsylvania as not only a land of opportunity, but also a land of great beauty, tradition, and hope. Their travels and research led them to consider starting a business here. Exploring multiple endeavors, they happened upon the site of an Amish furniture builder. They received a warm welcome and invitation to look around and ask questions. As business people in their native land, the owners of Pennsylvania Hill recognized a unique, quality product built and sold by friendly, honest people. A dream was born.

Pennsylvania Hill has a growing collection of American and Amish made furniture in their two showrooms. Each piece has been carefully selected from quality suppliers and must meet demanding standards. Pennsylvania Hill – now is the time for quality American made hardwood furniture.
